Course of Study
NTU offers diverse and enriching programs clustered in four colleges: Business, Engineering, Sciences, and Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, with English being the core medium of instruction.
Course Credit
Credits earned at foreign institutions are transferable to UNL by departmental validation. Please see "earning credit" page on UNL Education Abroad site for more information.
Eligibility
Students who have completed at least one college year and are in good academic standing are eligible to apply. A 3.0 GPA is preferred. Please meet with the UNL Exchange Coordinator to learn more about exchange programs and the placement process.
Location
Young and research-intensive, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is one of the fastest-rising universities in the world with globally acknowledged strengths in science and engineering. NTU provides a high-quality global education to more than 33,500 undergraduate and postgraduate students. Hailing from more than 70 countries, the university's 3,800-strong teaching and research staff bring dynamic international perspectives and years of solid industry experience. With over 8,000 international students and offering a diverse and enriching array of programs on a sprawling garden campus, NTU is truly a global institution. The main campus is a 200-acre residential, garden campus located in the south-western part of Singapore, near the Jurong West Extension area. This campus is easily accessible by two expressways, the Pan-island Expressway (PIE) and Kranji Expressway (KJE). It is also near the Boon Lay bus interchange and the Boon Lay Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station.< /p>
The city-state boasts 14,000 multinational corporations, a large majority of which are regional headquarters. When it comes to education, Singapore invests heavily in research and development of the biomedical sciences, physical sciences and engineering industries as well as the promotion of the city-state as a financial center regional education hub. Singapore's diverse mix of cultures means there are plenty of festivals and events to experience the year round. Each event is a fantastic opportunity to explore the rich diversity of this vibrant city-state in more depth.< /p>
Accommodations and Other Arrangements
NTU has 16 Halls of Residence. All halls are co-ed by floor or wing and offer single and double occupancy rooms. Double rooms are shared by residents of the same gender. Rooms are fully furnished, and the halls of residence offer similarly styled accommodation.
Three shuttle bus routes serve the campus, running throughout the week, on weekends, and on holidays. At NTU, there are range of student activities available, including sport and recreation activities at both the recreational and competitive level. World-class indoor and outdoor facilities cater to a wide range of sports from swimming, tennis, and basketball to more niche sports like archery or dragon boat racing. There are also over 100 clubs available that allow students to immerse in the arts, culture, academics, and other special interests while developing leadership qualities and making new friends.
If you need advice, the International Student Center is there to help. The Center provides assistance on a wide range of matters, including arrival assistance, accommodation and immigration.

Deposit
Upon confirmation of nomination acceptance, program participants will pay a $150 commitment deposit. The $150 deposit will be applied to the final program cost balance. If a participant withdraws from a program, the participant will be responsible for any irrecoverable costs associated with the program at the time of withdrawal (including a non-refundable $150 Education Abroad Fee).
Explanation of Costs
Exchange program participants pay tuition and fees to UNL for 15 credit hours at the appropriate resident or non-resident rate, plus a $150 Study Abroad Fee and other fees related to the exchange. Please see the Budget Sheet for a detailed explanation of program costs and the payment process.
